Hertfordshire Community Groups celebrate ESF grant achievements

In March, beneficiaries and supporters of the Key Fund - the European Social Fund Global Grants programme in Hertfordshire - joined Richard Howitt MEP and representatives from Hertfordshire Community Foundation at a special event to mark the end of the Fund.

Between 2001 and 2007 administrator of the Fund, Hertfordshire Community Foundation, have:

• issued grants of between £500 and £10,000 to 276 community projects
• awarded grants to a total value of £1.93 million
• helped about 5,000 disadvantaged people in Hertfordshire to become more employable.
