New ESF Equality and Sustainable Development Mainstreaming 'Leader' Awards

ESF providers and subcontractors are invited to nominate themselves for the new ESF equal opportunities and sustainable development mainstreaming `Leader’ awards.

The awards recognise organisations that have made a special commitment to mainstream equal opportunities or sustainable development, either by:

• using an effective equality or sustainable development policy and an implementation plan (see Award Type 1 below); or
• providing specialist support - which targets a specific equality group or has a particular environmental focus when promoting jobs or skills, which can include promoting green skills for new or existing jobs (see Award Type 2 below).

Award Type 1: ESF Mainstreaming Leader Awards (for projects with effective policies and plans)

If you have either:

• a good equal opportunities policy and implementation plan; OR
• a good sustainable development policy and implementation plan.

If your project either:

• has a particular environmental focus when promoting jobs or skills (including promoting green skills for new or existing jobs).
